Today, for the first time, I had to shovel snow off the sidewalk. This completes my winter experience. We (my housemate and myself) thought it would be a pretty difficult job. But it turned out that snow, while looking very white and solid-like, is pretty fluffy and airy even after it’s all piled up into pedestrian-obstructing drifts. So, some shoveling and serious back-stretching later (I’m going to wake up with an back-ache tomorrow, I just know it), we had several feet of semi-clear sidewalk – at least till next week when I’m sure the Boston weather will once again drop a foot of snow on us.

At least our heating should be fixed tomorrow – but, that’s another story!

Hi guys!

Happy New Year! It’s cold and snowy here in Boston – but at least I get the day off! =) Here’s some photos of my house from a warmer time in the summer.

Snow photos soon, hopefully – I miss Malaysia! But Boston is quite nice as well, living a pretty quiet life here. Mostly just work, friends and … awesome computer games and movies! Haha.

Hi handful of loyal readers!

I’ve moved over to WordPress.com instead of running my own server because it’s just too much trouble to try to run a reliable install of WordPress on a free server; and I’m too stingy to pay for my own. Anyone want to share a web host? =) But, anyway, for now here I am! Keep going to http://chewkinyan.com – It’ll always point you to where I am.

Boston’s going well – hotter than Malaysia sometimes but quite bearable with a sufficient number of fans! College is starting up soon for many of my friends back at Wesleyan. I’m planning to pay them a visit sometime this week I wonder how it will feel like to go back. I miss some of my friends very dearly.

But for now – salmon.

Hey guys – Congratulations to the class of 2009 !! (and also Irwinder and Yuemin who are now sitting around KL and bumming out … haha). I had a great time travelling Boston and New York with family, rushing home last minute for a three week holiday and spending some quality time with friends and now I’m finally back to Boston in my quiet house, waiting for work to begin on Monday.

I’m not sure how I feel about the upcoming change in my life – working everyday! Wow. But, hundreds of college students have survived it, so why not me? =) Just work hard and use all the smarts I can muster – hopefully I’ll be able to earn my keep

Hi everyone. Just wanted to let you know that I’m just fine! The reason I’m posting this is because there was a shooting on my campus earlier today, and the campus is rather unsettled at this time. But just incase someone checked here for a status update, here it is : I’m fine =)

Eggs It Is!

And since it’s such a special occasion, I decided to have fried eggs instead of my normal hard boiled eggs. =) First, fry the egg… repeat with 3 more eggs, and voila!

Four yummy eggs for my eating pleasure. Don’t worry, I removed the yolks so I won’t die of a heart attack right away. And, of course, can’t forget the soy sauce. Yum. I wonder what my next poll should be …

I’ll be coming back to KL on the 21st on December. Going to spend a few days in Singapore first, since I’ll be landing there. Anyone in Singapore want to hang out? Otherwise, find me once I’m back in KL. One exam on Monday and I’ll only have one semester of college left. Time passes fast! I’m hoping to do a road trip in the summer once I’m done with college. I probably won’t be able to leave the US due to visa / work / reentry stuff, so I’ll definitely make the most of my time by doing the classic Roadtrip Across America. Woohoo!Any recommendations on places to go?
